Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived by hydrogenation of soybean oil.
During the hydrogenation process, some of the unsaturated fatty acids in the oil are converted into saturated ones. In addition, the process changes the melting temperature of the oil, as a result of which soy wax turns into a solid at room temperature.
Soy wax is mainly used by candle manufacturers as a stand-alone raw material, mixed with other natural oils or blended with paraffin. Candles made from soy wax are extremely beautiful, eco-friendly and burn long and evenly.
